Goals update 2016 #43 LL

I have to say I love a good “fall back”!  If you are stateside then you just went through the ‘gain and hour’ time change. If we have to do it, it is the best one! I took advantage of it. I slept 11 hours on Friday night and then totally slept in way past  my normal Sunday wake up to get another 9 hours. I’ve decided that come 2017 I will make sleeping a major goal for each day. I know, we are not even done with 2016 and here I am again talking about 2017.

But, I think that’s what the end of the year can be good for. Finishing up projects and making notes for the future ones. Not everything can be done today, nor should it be.

Personal: This week I will be completing my final module of “The Work”. I am excited to learn more but sad that this will mean the end of the workshops. However, the beauty of learning is that it never stops!

Business: I working on the details of a project I want to launch for 2017, finalizing the next date for my Pilates Day Retreats and getting ready to finalize the plans for my Cambodia Pilates retreat!

Health: I had a major stomach set back when trying out Marinara sauce. However, it only took about 2 days to recover. This week I feel will be much better!

Financial: Lots of money going out to continue growing my business. But, bills mean business! I’m also happy to say my hubby and I are on track to be debt free fairly soon! woot-woot!

Goals Update 2016 #41 LL

I know I have said it before but I love writing my updates each week. Sharing with you what I’m working on keeps me focused, on track but also allows me to be flexible in my approach to my journey. All of you have been so supportive along that way that it helps me to be honest with you and myself about where I am with my goals.

This week I am headed to the annual PMA conference. It is a Pilates Instructor gathering that I have been attending since 2009. It’s like a reunion for Pilates instructors. I get to hang out with some of my dearest friends. This years meeting has some key moments of celebration for some of the things I have been working towards.

  1. I wanted to live this year with a fierce and fabulous filter. I’m doing a lip sync battle on Friday. Something I would never have done before.
  2. I’m shooting for an article for a 2017 issue of Pilates Style. This has been a dream of mine since I became an instructor in 2008.
  3. A big announcement Friday that is in line with my goal of becoming more involved than I already am in the Pilates community.
  4. Spending more time IRL with friends.

Some more updates:

Financial: I got my numbers to my financial adviser. I also got honest with her about where I want my money to be invested and what’s most important today. I know I should be saving for my retirement but developing my businesses needs to be priority.

Health: I have released myself of a lot of stress in the last two weeks. Not that my job was stressful but I was carrying stress trying to do everything all at once with all of my efforts. I didn’t want to let anyone down. Now that I have let go of some of the plates I was spinning I am able to catch stress as it’s happening and release it. My stomach isn’t perfect but the less stress is helping.

Personal: I’ve been spending more time with my dogs and friends this last week and that has been incredible. I’m about to go on a hike as I write this. My yoga and Pilates practice all year have been so strong and consistent. I am super thankful LA has the weather it has so that I can make up for lost hikes!

Business: I’ve been focusing more on interacting with studios, magazines and instructors all over the world. 2017 is going to be a big travel year. That’s what I am manifesting anyways. But, one can manifest all day and nothing can happen. It’s about connecting and doing things today that will produce the travel of tomorrow!

Goals Update 2016 #40 LL

This week is my first real week out working just for myself. It’s still a transition. I am focusing on eliminating projects that no longer are in line with my purpose. Reconnecting with friends that I have wanted to have coffee with but my schedule didn’t allow and gearing up for a big week next week! I’ll be teaching at the annual PMA gathering in Phoenix, AZ!

Business: I’m making sure that Pilatini®Nights and my upcoming UK Retreat are getting out in the eyes of those who need to hear about it!

Financial: I am meeting with my advisor to make sure that with all the new changes I am on track to do the things I want to do when I want to do it!

Health: I’m hoping to get back in with my stomach people. I’m still not where I think I should be. My stomach still is showing that it has not healed yet. I wanted to just give upon this goal last week. I had a few nights of just horrid pain but I don’t want this to be my “normal” so I must continue the course!

Personal: I passed my final module assessment for “The Work”. This was the hardest one for me! I really went for it and it paid off. Now, it’s all about making sure I get stronger as the workshop is just a few weeks away.

Goals Update 2016 #39 LL

This last week was pretty planned out and then life happened as it usually does. Some major changes that were coming in the future but happened a little sooner than anticipated.

This week:

Re-evaluating schedule and timeline of certain work projects. Can they happen sooner?

Financial: meeting with adviser next week to recalibrate the goals. Big changes don’t just effect where you go and when they also effect where you make money and spend it.

Fitness: it’s my final Pilates assessment for The work! All workouts are to help me rock that test.

Personal: finally putting out our wedding photos…I’m telling you so that we are held accountable to this!

Business: thinking bigger! Dreaming as big as I can so I can push what’s working to the next level!

Goals updates 2016 #36 LL

I am so excited for this week! Ok, first September and October are jam freaking packed. There is not a day that doesn’t have a important task. But, that’s what I am excited about. It’s too easy to go “wo is me. I’m so busy….blah blah blah.” Honestly, many of my projects are finally taking off. It’s time to buckle up and enjoy the ride. After October I’ll get to see where they all land. Maybe even sooner.

Business: I’ve got a photo shoot this Friday so I have stock images for my profitablepilates.com blog. It’s time to systemize things and this is one of them. Then another shoot on Saturday. This one will be fun. I have been scoping out some awesome locations. Stay tuned to my Profitable Pilates IG account for these babies. I’m also preparing some major workshops to be debuted on PilatesAnytime.com. Stay tuned for next weeks post as I talk more about that goodness.

Fitness: I’ve got one month to get myself ready for my 4th “The Work” module. This one is a tough one for me. It’s hitting some spots that I need to work on within myself (not just fitness wise). But, this week I am committed to working on it every day.

Finances: We decided to go ahead and just purchase the big last purchases of the year. Flights, rental cars etc for all our holiday travels. Now, we know how much we need to pay off by the end of the year. Much easier than it hanging over our head.

The infamous stomach: well, it’s in process.

Oh, one more thing! I am challenging myself to be clear each day on what my purpose is for that day. What outcome do I want. Eye on the prize my dears!

Goals updates 2016 #34 Clare

I love the fall!  But I feel so overwhelmed!  LL and I had a discussion about our goals and where we are in our journey this year.  I feel like I’ve done pretty well in some areas and not so well in others.

Fall always seems like we’re turning the corner to the end of the year, but it also feels like a fresh start.  So I’m revising my goals.  Maybe one of the reasons I’ve not been successful is that I didn’t quite know what I wanted, and made the wrong goal.  Maybe one of the reasons I’ve had trouble keeping up with my goals is that I’m now bored with the daily steps, or I’ve hit a ceiling.  So 2016 goals revised:

  1. Fitness-This one  I’m keeping exact–keep up with a small exercise daily–I’m sticking with sun saluations.
  2. Finances-This one I keep avoiding.  So I’m going to put it on hold for now and see what my goal really is.
  3. Organization–I’ve cleaned out my closet to a good extent… but I’ve also seemed to fill up the empty spaces.  Maybe I need to shop less!
  4. Book–I’m not sure why this one isn’t working.  Its a big step next: publishing.  I don’t know why I’m scared.  I’m still waiting for help… but I think I need to start asking for help again.
  5. Agent-I’m in a show and reaching out to many about it.  I’m going to focus on going to lots of auditions for the fall.  Getting good work will get me an agent!

Goals 2016 #33 LL

As this week begins I’ll be back at my Ayurvedic specialist. Unfortunately, I am back to where I was before I worked with him. It’s only been two weeks and the first started off much more promising than anything else. The GI system is an interesting beast. So, I’m staying as positive as I can and not giving up yet.

Business wise I have had some amazing strides this week. The saying the best time to plant tree is 20 years ago and the second best is now…so freaking true. I have been planting seeds for three years and they are finally sprouting. I cannot wait to announce whats blooming!

Financially I was able to give back last week. I taught for charity and it felt so good to do something I love in an effort to help those in need. I hope to be able to do it again soon!

Which makes me wonder what do you love to do that you can do one hour this week to help someone else?
